Juventus 2 v 1 Tottenham Hotspur
Tottenham Hotspur began their pre-season with a defeat going down 2-1 to Italian champions Juventus. Paulo Dybala and Medhi Benatia made the most of defensive mistakes to put Juventus two ahead after just 15 minutes. Erik Lamela pulled a goal back midway through the second half.
A much-improved second half showing from Spurs put Juve under an increasing amount of pressure but they were unable to find an equaliser.
Spurs now face Atletico Madrid on Friday night, while Juventus now fly to Hong Kong to take on a select XI.
