BREWER AND SIMON NAMED TO FACE FORMER CLUB Hannah Brewer and Gema Simon are set to make their Melbourne Victory debuts against former club Newcastle Jets in Round 1 of the Westfield W-League. Brewer and Simon - foundation players for the Jets who were vice-captain and captain respectively last season - were today named in Victory's final squad which kicks off its title defence in New South Wales on Saturday morning. Lisa De Vanna has also been named to face her former club, while American signing Christine Nairn has been selected. The latter arrived in Melbourne on Thursday and slots straight into the squad to potentially make her W-League debut. Adelaide United record games holder Racheal Quigley also looks set for her first appearance in blue and white, while Amy Jackson returns to the line-up after missing last season. American signings Lauren Barnes and Elli Reed will not be available for selection until Round 3. Melbourne Victory's first home game is against Western Sydney Wanderers at Broadmeadows Valley Park on Sunday September 21.
